This sounds fake. The word feminist didn't become the name of a political movement until the 1960s. Queen vic wasn't even around to see the suffragettes.

and she was QUEEN? How WEAK. What if women claimed to be horses (Picture). That would be more acceptable. and EVERYONE (that IS a girl) WANTS a pony when they are little. Aren't you at least occasionally reminded of a horse when a girl shows up and starts talking or eating?

PLUS how come they NEVER analyze (criticize) their (crazy?) weak points? THose are ALWAYS deflected as something positive.

I wonder what happens to those bad example of schizoid group behaviour and they become immediate examples of horror instead of the role models they thought they were.

They were using the word feminist in the victorian era? QV would never say this shit. Fake gay

The word "feminist" first started being used around 1850, and "feminism" around 1890.

Yeah, but it wasn't the name of a political movement. I haven't been able to find examples of it being used to describe "women's rights" movements before the 1960s, much less being widely used enough for a queen to use it.

Okay im going to acquiesce to the veracity of this quote. Seems like she said something like this in a letter. Working women really grinded her gears apparently.

Source? Looks fake to me. I started trying to find the earliest examples of feminism years ago. The word was used prior to the 1960s, but not in the same sense and not in a widespread manner. If you said "feminism" to most english speakers prior to 1960 they wouldn't have a clue what you meant other than that it was something to do with women. If you said to them "suffragettes" they'd probably have a better idea, but even that was after queen victoria's time.

To Theodore Martin, Prince Albert’s biographer she says using 3rd person:
The Queen is most anxious to enlist everyone who can speak or write to join in checking this mad, wicked folly of "Woman's Rights," with all its attendant horrors, on which her poor feeble sex is bent, forgetting every sense of womanly feeling and propriety. Lady —— ought to get a good whipping. It is a subject which makes the Queen so furious that she cannot contain herself. God created men and women different—then let them remain each in their own position. Tennyson has some beautiful lines on the difference of men and women in "The Princess." Woman would become the most hateful, heartless, and disgusting of human beings were she allowed to {300} unsex herself; and where would be the protection which man was intended to give the weaker sex? The Queen is sure that Mrs. Martin agrees with her.'[

She writes something similar to PM Gladstone:

“strongest aversion for the socalled & most erroneous ‘Rights of Woman.’” The “movement of the present day to place women in the same position as to professions – as men,” she explained, was “mad & utterly demoralizing,” and “[t]he Queen feels so strongly upon this dan- gerous & unchristian & unnatural cry & movement of ‘woman’s rights’ . . . that she is most anxious that Mr. Gladstone & others shld take some steps to check this alarming danger & to make whatever use they can of her name . . . Let woman be what God intended; a helpmate for a man – but with totally different duties & vocations.”2

I don’t see the word feminist used. Seems like the citer took some liberties with the wording. Or somebody did.

Edit
In 1872, she complained to her eldest daughter Vicky about “those fast, wild young women who are really unsexed.”

Also in the cambridge reference

Those sound a lot more like 19th century english alright. I'd absolutely believe queen victoria would hold those views, although I'd like to know more about these "fast, wild, unsexed women" lol. I thought that kind of thing was mostly in Paris.
