either a gay ass "troll" or you're doubly retarded.
I am leaning towards you being a dumb motherfucker so i will further break down what I said, in the hopes that you stop touting your obscure knowledge as "dunking on someone":
I confirmed that the files did, in fact, copy when i said that files showed up when i plugged it into the original computer, which has a logical inference that both computers are seeing the real files. it goes without saying that if i were unable to resolve this problem, you pathetic attempt at "dunking on me" with your obscure knowledge would have been stated in the OP, and certainly in the response to you had the info been omitted from the OP, if i had wound up with shortcuts instead of the files i needed to operate on.
i'm 78% certain you were unable to understand what was being said, rather than you're "trolling".
You're not as smart as you wish everyone believed you were. stop acting like you do, it generates contempt, which i'm sure you get IRL.
read. the. fucking. posts for context. you. dumb. faggot.
i already reread them, and i'll just tell you that your mistake is either a faulty short term memory or you never read the op, plus the comments correctly in the first place. it's all there. YOU read it.
Sounds to me like computer #2 is trying to tell you it doesn't want you sticking anything in it after you've already stuck it in computer #1. Maybe you're not the Tech Chad you think you are?
the machine being copied from is running w7 and the drive being copied from is ntfs formatted, the flash drive being copied to is a 250gb microsd (ntfs formatted) and the machine being copied to is running w10.

win 10... Is the problem. Do you have bitlocker or any of that crap running on your win10 machine?
I get this all the time. usually have to find a new flashdrive.
ALSO ALWAYS EJECT THE DISK! all it takes is one time int he life of the flashdrive to pull it out without "ejecting it" and it will corrupt the headers on the flashdrive. Win 7 usually does nt like it. WIN 10 ABSOLUT does not like it when you do this...

Most flash drives are formatted with Fat32. If the drive is larger than 32GB it will probably be formatted with exFat. Old versions of Windows don't support exFat, newer ones do, I assume modern Macs support it too.
If the drive is bigger than 32GB you can create multiple partitions so that each one is 32GB or smaller, and make sure they are formatted with Fat32.
If you're on Windows you can alternatively re-format the drive with NTFS and it will work on most versions of Windows and Linux.
When you stick the drive back in Win7 the files are visible?
Might re-format and try again, I'd even try exFat since there might some weird hotplug problem with NTFS in Win10. I probably don't have to tell you this but make sure and use the eject button.
Pajeets and bluehairs are now coding Win10, so God help you.
Somebody mentioned permissions problems below, have the machines ever been attached to a Domain?

Mac can read Fat32, and probably exFat.
Linux can handle Fat32, exFat, and NTFS.

I assume the files are not marked hidden.
