Can someone explain to me how that's possible? It doesn't look like she just left the brake off and it rolled down the hill, it was driving on it's own. How does that happen without someone pressing the pedal?

The automatics I've driven require the accelerator to be pressed to drive. The manuals I've driven would stall if you declutched without accelerating.

Edit: Huh, interesting. I guess the automatics I've driven have failsafes to stop that happening. The fact that it can accelerate without input seems like a ridiculous safety issue.

Because they are easier to drive? It's an automatic. It's in drive. The only thing keeping it from moving is you foot on the brake. Name a car (make, model, year) that works as you describe. Really, how old are you?

Mexican cop didn't bat an eye when hubby handed him a photocopy of an expired driver's license from a state in the US. Seeing cars with US plates that are expired is common. They don't arrest any gringo for it. But they arrest and ticket their own drivers.

I don't think that is in the US. In fact, it looks like a mountain flood washed away the end of the road and wasn't repaired and/or still washing away from the sound of the splash. Anywhere ih the US would have a guard rail at the end of the road or barrels and tape indicating the danger.
