I've always disagreed with this, especially Category 0 because it ignores entropy. The best time to prepare is when you don't need to, and a nice place doesn't stay nice without maintenance and prevention.

The defense needed for every category should be militia. Militias are communities. You need community.

The best people to live around are peaceful people, and being peaceful is always the best thing to strive for.

In order to be peaceful, you need to first be capable of great harm, then choose not to exercise that ability without cause.

If you are not capable of great harm, you can never be peaceful. You are harmless. There is no virtue in being harmless. It is the harmless and harmful alike that destroy everything we hold dear.
