I found a few critical areas that could be improved. Threads with 100+ comments are now loading pretty much instantly. More improvements coming later this month.

You could move the search bar to a more central area, maybe? I know where it is, so it doesn't bother me, but I'm sure there are users out there that don't know one exists because they're too stupid to look in the correct spot for it. I know, because I used to be one....

I optimized queries in the code and created some new indexes by assigning all users into 20 random groups. I also created an index by subverse category and redid some other table's indexes.

In fairness, I partially empathise with them on that: I have no choice but to help fund ZOG (at least to some degree). Just because a system is foisted upon you and you have to live in it doesn't mean you can't criticise it.

In my ideal world socialists would be free to go create their dystopian nightmares on their own property among themselves.

True. A shitty boss does make things a little worse overall. The attitude to let people be degenerate in their own space just allows it to flourish.

On the other hand, the guy who runs this seems like a nice guy (in my interactions), and this place isn't terrible at all. I don't get all the infighting hate. Those people need to get a life if it bothers them so much.

Keeping degenerates prisoner and trying to force them not to be degenerate just makes them sneakier about it. Society needs a pressure release valve.

System has made a few extreme moderation decisions, like banning SBBH. That said he works on the site more actively than Putt did and he's nowhere near as bad as AOU.
