This is just so wrong. I can appreciate some of the fringe theories and whatnot, but this is inaccurate (ma'am, your data on the MiG is inaccurate). The Thomson family, one of Canada's quietest and richest media dynasties, through their family office Woodbridge LTD, owns the lion's share of Thomson Reuters. The old CEO of Reuters, Tom Glocer, likely flew up to Toronto, pitched the purchase, commensurately orchestrated Thomson's acquisition of Reuters and then for a short while was CEO of the whole thing. The entire holding company structure and share percentages is to ensure the Thomson family retains overall control of the company, and benefits from the, say, 4% dividend and capital appreciation flow in perpetuity, at least for now.
