Reminds me of that kid that got arrested for taking a disassembled alarm clock to school, creating a bomb scare and ended up moving to Qatar to learn how to make real bombs.

The bolts on that stand look as if they are not stock. I'm guessing there's a wire hidden in the leg that goes through the table.

Wireless transmission is a thing too. Two microwave magnetrons can transmit power.

I'm quite aware of the research of Tesla. Also Sam Wyly tried to do microwave internet in the 60s and 70s for server time share clients because AT&T owned all the copper communication laid wire. Sure, we have this, but look at those wireless chargers for phones: until recently the phones had to have special cases along with special batteries and had to be laid directly on the charging station.

Wireless power is possible, but it's not easy. Making a consumer safe version is tricky. Getting the adoption necessary to make it a standard in a market like cell phones is a miracle. The tech isn't exotic, but it's more complicated than copper wire.

Wonder where he hid the battery for his demonstration.

Well that green light did it for me, definitely a front runner for a Nobel prize and the Charles Taylor award.

... I don't buy it. Or, maybe we just found the next Tesla. Tesla pt. 2, Tesla goes to Africa.

The average IQ in Zimbabwe is around 72.

That seems like a rather liberal estimate.
