Because they sold their souls for worldly wealth. Now after having partook of a lifetime of copious amounts of sex, drugs, sundry material possessions, child sacrifice, etc. they realize it wasn't as satisfying as they expected.

That makes them bitter, angry, hateful, and resentful towards those who kept control of their souls. They also know what awaits them after death so they are trying to appease their master as much as possible — hoping that their efforts will make the next life better than they're anticipating.

Spotify still won’t be in business by summer.
Mark my words, bands/artists (or the controlling estates) like the Beatles, Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift, Elton John, Pink Floyd, etc will all be pulling their music and it will e a snowball effect.
My guess is Spotify will be kept financially viable by these same people that way they can stop broadcasting Rogan yet still pay him therefore contractually preventing him from releasing material for the length of the contract..
