As a woman who maybe is a little autistic sometimes, I was baffled by female coworkers bleating on about (not) being appreciated at work... like, do your job and get paid, that's the appreciation? Do it really well and maybe get a promotion. And then the female bosses would ask and send out surveys asking what they can do ( excluding pay rises and promotions) to make me feel appreciated. I was always like, "pay rise or promotion." and other chicks were all about constant praise, chocolates, prizes and stickers chart like bullshit.

Idk. Might be just me but I'm usually way more motivated to work if I get positive feedback.

This isn't to say I can't take criticism (I prefer to know if I need to fix something ASAP) but I'm way more inclined to haul ass on something if I know there's going to be more than a grunt and a nod at the end of it.

I've had three jobs that were a great majority women and it was like pulling teeth to get them to do anything. If there was a job for one person ten women would take two weeks to do it, shuffling it back and forth and then spend twice as much time shifting blame for why it took so long to do.

But get a free lunch in the cafeteria and they're sure as fuck going to be on that shit so no one takes more than their share. The problem is priorities.
