Rabbits really are bottom of the good change

Everybody eats them. They're like the woke feminists who stare blankly at the truth. Rabbits freeze when predators spot them because predators gotta eat too.

Discover the little known world of "ferret legging". The keeping of ferrets in your trousers to keep them warm while you hunt, also a judged competition in and of itself.

https://www.wesjones.com/ferret.htm

"Well, Reg," I said. "I think people in America will want to know. Well -- since you don't wear any protection -- and, well, I've heard a ferret can bite your thumb off. Do they ever -- you know?"

Basically, ferret-legging involves the tying of a competitor's trousers at the ankles and the insertion into those trousers of a couple of peculiarly vicious fur-coated, foot-long carnivores called ferrets.

The brave contestant's belt is then pulled tight, and he proceeds to stand there in front of the judges as long as he can, while animals with claws like hypodermic needles and teeth like number 16 carpet tacks try their damnedest to get out.

You just be careful.

Weasels/Ferrets are fairly closely related to cats. Was probably looking to kill the rabbit and eat it.

The ferret wasn't exactly looking where it was dragging the rabbit, and freaked when it realized that there was a larger animal there.

Could also be a trained one that rewilded, or maybe just latent bred-in instict to bring the kill to humans. They were used as hunting companions for a long time. Many breeds of dog exhibit the behaviors they were bred for without any training.

I found a golden retriever as a beat-up stray and he loves to go around the house "retrieving" things like shoes and underwear and bringing it to people while whining and wagging his tail like he's really done something great. It's hilarious

As a puppy my blue heeler loved to herd our chickens. Was incredibly adept at rounding them up and keeping them in a tight ball, without any training.
