Lets play a game by picking and choosing civics from each column to work out your most basic political system and type of government you potentially have.
A - Totalitarian/Dictatorship/oligarchy (no vote; power in a few) vs Democratic (vote; power with a lot) B - Monarchy (foreign or domestic royal as head of state) or Republic (federal elected national leader born locally) C - Autocratic/Authoritarian (lack of freedoms) or Liberal (lots of personal freedoms) D - Socialist (Citizen cooperation) vs Communist (centralised party rule against citizens) E - Theocratic (religious governing body; Vatican City, Saudi Arabia) vs Secular (Separation of church and state; USA, France, Turkey)
Being a republic doesn't preclude you from also a democracy, they describe different things. Rome was a Democratic Republic until they had emergency powers and had the Military Dictatorial Republic under Caesars.
The only thing a republic describes is your head Jew is a senile old American selling out your country as opposed to our constitutional monarchy where our elected shabbos talks to a middle man the GG which talks to the Queen of England to run our country.
