Depends on if you know the place. I wouldn't trust a pizza hut. Local pizza places are one of the only foods that I would have delivered. I know those guys, and they are righteous dudes. I always tip them, and I don't think spit in anyone's food, but they do refuse to deliver to nigger neighborhoods.

That's why I grow all my own food on my farm and my wife cooks it for us. It takes all our time but at least we don't have to eat CHIPOTLE (🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢).

Assuming you have no relationship with the delivery person, as is the case with Uber or whatever, after the delivery is too late. If you tip them first, they might bring your stuff quicker and not spit in your food. If they do that anyways, and you tip them later, well, good on your for being a good guy, but karma is as much as you're going to get.

Probably the main reason people do it, though, is the apps now ask you to tip first.

Problems with that:

- Tips are nice, but lack of tips are not an excuse for stealing from the customer.

- Tips usually come after the service has been performed as a reward for doing it particularly well. This guy didn't wait to see if he was going to get a tip at the door for getting there in decent time, he saw a lack of tip on the app, chimped out and retaliated.

I rarely eat takeout or restaurant food. Fortunately most of the places around here have open kitchens and you can see everything they're doing. I think the only time I saw anything really bad was when a bottle of detergent was dripping onto the burger grill.

Seriously. Immigration killed hospitality. Maybe if you are in some small, all White town the food is okay.

That was a small all-white town. Shitty burger joints are the same the world over, even Japan (surprisingly) has dodgy greasy diners.

I quit working as a chef because of the prevalence of this sort of thing. And then I quit as a restauranteur because of the complete lack of capable staff.

Don't blame you. I absolutely would not want to try to make a living in the food industry.

Just learn to cook, it's not difficult to follow a recipe.
