My mom and dad would make a point of holding our hands when we were kids, especially when we went out (so we wouldn't run off and get lost)

That's a pretty normal thing for parents who love their kids to do.

This woman was most likely neglected by her parents who just sat her down in front of a screen all day.

Love is not just difficult for the unloved to understand, it's outright distressing for them to witness.

The unloved feel an urge to destroy love when they see it. As we see here.
