SCOTUS Blocks Biden's Vaccine Mandate In 6-3 Ruling

submitted by uvulectomy to news 2.3 yearsJan 13, 2022 14:42:38 ago (+77/-1)     (archive.is)

https://archive.is/2M45j

The employer mandate is struck down, while still keeping the healthcare worker rule for places that accept Medicare or Medicaid.

Edit:
Liberal justices, clearly sympathetic to the government’s position, highlighted the devastating death toll from the pandemic and the unprecedented wave of infection rolling across the nation due to the omicron variant.

Note how they cite "infection" (meaning cases/positive results) rather than how many people are sick/hospitalized/dead. Because omicron is a NOTHINGBURGER. A strain that mild in a real "deadly pandemic" would be a GIFT, because it could be used to naturally immunize the entire population through exposure.

"but allows vaccine mandate for most health care workers"

Maybe everyone should strike, etc. in solidarity with health care workers. Why give them an inch?

[ - ] Empire_of_the_Mind 4 points 2.3 yearsJan 13, 2022 16:49:18 ago (+4/-0)

this is actually a positive in the long run. the federal govt only has authority if the facility is taking federal money. why should they do that? the future of health care is clearly reverting back to private, local offices.

[ - ] Teefinyomouf 1 point 2.3 yearsJan 13, 2022 20:36:57 ago (+2/-1)

No fuck that. Healthcare workers can eat their own medicine. Test it for us. Make sure it's safe.

I like that. How do we get a movement started? Just tell people to blueflu on the 18th to support anti-vaxx?

No, all of them are controlled by kikes. They were told to make it 6-3 in order to normalize it. Today they take one step back, tomorrow it will be three steps forward.

[ - ] we_kill_creativity 5 points 2.3 yearsJan 13, 2022 15:28:56 ago (+6/-1)

Absolutely, even people here have a hard time understanding why people who disagree with "them" would also be controlled by "them". Most society wide debates are a tug of war match with "them" pulling the rope in a third direction. Best just to disengage and start growing your own food in any case.

Self sufficiency is never a bad idea, but that is a cucks solution.
That doesn't fix this world, or save civilization, you fucking coward.

What civilization are you talking about? You come off as a teenager who just found out Hitler wasn't a bad guy and now you act tough on the internet. JDIF?

But seriously, fix what? Babylon? The completely Jew'd cities? America? Save people living in huge cities working dead end jobs where the wife isn't raising their kids if they even have them, which they probably don't...?

You do realize that what you're saying I should "save" is hell on Earth, don't you? It isn't even America or anything close to the original concept of it.

Yeah guys! Let's save the completely fucked version of reality that isn't even remotely close to the ideal we have in our minds to the point that it's actually opposed to what we want! Yeah, we'll save something that hates the something we really want instead of doing what needs to be done and actually build the society we do want!

Fucking retard...

Imagine thinking building a hovel house on the corner of the property, or living in the treehouse, was "The society we do want!". lol. You have to burn down, excise the cancer, before a proper rebuild/renovation can be done.

I have a friend that is anti-vax that has been bed ridden for 3 weeks. This isn't "just a cold" like all you retards like to pretend. I'm anti-vax mandate but covid is a thing and it's not good. The narrative is that only the vax can help you which is not true. The medical institution has to stop towing Pfizers line and allow other forms of treatment that are known to work. But saying that covid isn't real is retard level thinking.

[ - ] TheViciousMrPim 2 points 2.3 yearsJan 13, 2022 17:04:36 ago (+3/-1)

Your friend has comorbidities doesn't he? Over weight? Pre existing respiratory issues?

Yes covid is a big nothing if you are a healthy person. It's literally a cold. You are a faggot and your ancestors are ashamed of your weakness.

[ - ] youregay -1 points 2.3 yearsJan 13, 2022 17:06:56 ago (+2/-3)*

You really wish she did don't you because it ruins your narrative. You're as bad as a leftist. Go to reddit. Sorry, your bullshit assumptions hold no water here. No, she's a slim, healthy 51 year old woman who doesn't even have high blood pressure and does cardio 30 min a day. You are a faggot that's afraid of reality. Nice try though. Idiot. I will honestly pray 3 times a day that your children and wife die of covid. Not you though. I want you to be tormented for being so dumb. Bring it on you ignorant faggot. What's more shameful, acknowledging reality or pushing a narrative no matter the facts? SMFH. I know, you really want covid to not be real, but it is. It's not just a cold, it's not just the flu. It's so funny how you are the type of idiot that wants to prosecute Fauci for creating covid while simultaneously pretending it's not real. Pick one, retard.

After having it, I can tell you it had so many vectors of attack it was unlike anything else. SO many different symptoms each & everyday. I literally would go to sleep (pass out) not knowing what tomorrow would bring. 3 weeks of hell. (lifelong asthma & emphysema from the Baghdad burn pits.)

[ - ] youregay -2 points 2.3 yearsJan 13, 2022 18:02:16 ago (+0/-2)

I had it too in the beginning of 2020 before anyone knew what it was and it took me out for 3 weeks. I am fairly active and healthy. But this was serious. People acting like anyone taken down by it somehow deserve it are shit human beings. To be clear, I believe covid is serious, I don't support vax mandates and think there needs to be other treatment options. My beef is with the big pharma forced vaccines. But to suggest that everyone who gets it somehow deserves it is asinine and ignorant and it makes me hope someone close to them dies of it.

[ - ] TopTierCIAShill 0 points 2.3 yearsJan 13, 2022 21:59:42 ago (+0/-0)

My brother and his wife tested positive. The third brother and myself both got sick after spending Thanksgiving with them.

No it was not enjoyable. I was sick for probably close to two weeks. But I do reiterate the commentor above. We have become a nation of pussies.

It was a bad flu. We have those about once a decade or so. I worked for the majority of the time I was sick. There were a few days where I was sick enough they wouldn't have allowed me to work, so I called off. I didn't even think about getting tested. For refusing the test my employer assumed this was a positive test, in effect, and I was forced off for one week.

I didn't bitch. People don't want to be sick for two weeks, especially during the holidays. I get it.

The symptoms during the final week were less than half as severe. Mostly bad congestion, a mild cough and that disoriented feeling you get when your sinuses are draining like crazy.

[ - ] Special_Prosecutor 3 points 2.3 yearsJan 13, 2022 16:36:29 ago (+3/-0)

Some hospitals are requiring their covid positive but "asymptotic" employees report to work while banning their covid negative but unvaxed employees from reporting to work.

PLEASE NOTE! They did not strike down the private company mandate. They basically upheld the injunction so the case can go back down to the 6th circuit appeals court. They only stopped enforcement of it while the lower courts finish adjudicating the cases.

[ - ] patchCodeUnsuccessful 3 points 2.3 yearsJan 13, 2022 16:03:45 ago (+3/-0)*

They have to go law suit by law suit.
You have three different methods out there.
1.) OSHA mandating rule
2.) Medicare mandate for funding
3.) Government contracts getting a recursive clause

It's not our rights that they give a shit about, it's the governments rights that they care about in these cases.

verb : give authority (to do something)
The national government was entitled by the states, who were entitled by the settlers (and probably foreign nations going far back enough). You can always strip a title, but they are currently entitled.

I get the be ungovernable meme, but you are living in a delusional world when the common definition of things don't register. Now, if somebody is fucking with a definition that's something else, but I don't think anybody has messed with entitle for a very long time.

[ - ] SparklingWiggle 2 points 2.3 yearsJan 13, 2022 19:34:42 ago (+2/-0)

I've read the Constitution a number of times. The Federal government's aauthority is incredibly limited and has been overstepped by an incredible amount. It needs to be reigned in. Making its reach seem ridiculous is the first step in removing the normalization.

[ - ] uvulectomy [op] 3 points 2.3 yearsJan 13, 2022 16:18:46 ago (+3/-0)

For now... Unless you're a healthcare worker, then you're still left hanging out to dry because fuck you. "Essential" one minute, "expendable" the next, apparently.

[ - ] Empire_of_the_Mind 2 points 2.3 yearsJan 13, 2022 16:51:57 ago (+2/-0)

Yes, the federal requirement that companies with 100 employees be subject to vaxx mandates under OSHA enforcement has been tossed. They did allow health care facilities to require it, which is not surprising. Understand that you can open a health care facility with nurses and all that but not require such. There is now a large supply of medically trained and experienced workers with a strong incentive to develop a classical health care offering based upon local private offices.

[ - ] Ironcrusader88 0 points 2.3 yearsJan 13, 2022 17:11:06 ago (+0/-0)

Can this motion be used in the future to ban companies from forcing employees to issue masks or pcr tests? You would think with the so “pro science” left they would give up on pushing masks at this point.

[ - ] Empire_of_the_Mind 0 points 2.3 yearsJan 14, 2022 00:59:10 ago (+0/-0)

not really. companies can have whatever uniform policies they want and masks fall under that. you'd need a lie specifically banning things like masks and pcr tests first. the ruling today says that the FEDERAL govt cannot impose a uniform, national requirement that companies require vaccines of their staff.
