I don't have many people in my personal life I care that much about. It's a very short list. I'm working on a project to help people legally stand up for themselves in mass and it's working in a small way now, but...I'm still getting ready to move to the woods and live in a tent and build up a life outside of their system. Which isn't a black pill, their system fucking sucks and it has for like...ever.

Honestly...just maybe 4 years ago my mindset was that we could somehow "fix" their system, but I now see, not only that we can't, but that we shouldn't. It needs to burn down. We don't even need to start the fire, it's already a dumpster fire.

That said, their tower of babble is falling and I'm thinking "How do I not get hit by the debris and survive afterwards. And to me, that is the opposite of giving up.

Work through the math in your head. Think about how many shitskins you're personally going to have to stab and hang and light on fire and shoot and run over with trucks. And then realize that your math was wrong and most faggots won't do anything and you'll have to kill 10x as many scum.

At this point, almost every single person I have to interact with to survive this bullshit is someone I would kill in less than a heartbeat.

I didn't interpret him as saying it's unfixable in some grand sense, as if this was the actual eschaton and the species won't ever recover. I took it that he meant strictly politically unfixable in this current system through regular processes of free speech, criticism, and activism from the ground-up. He indicated that his past beliefs about his own work held that he might inspire this kind of change, but that this mode of changing minds is not sufficient in itself. Where there might be some room for debate here is whether he attributes that failure to the system specifically for preventing his message from even having the possibility to flourish, or whether the people themselves will fail to be changed by even hearing it.

I am leaning toward the latter. Sam seems assured that whatever is currently going on, it's too far gone and we are along for the ride, so do what you can morally for those you love. Basically, we've got to prepare like people in worse places in the world have learned to subsist for years now. To dig in and figure out how to build bubbles of prosperity for the reasonable number of people we are obligated to (family and close friends).
