Whether she is dead, we can't be sure from this. But she is without question completely unconscious.

There is no normal tonus in her leg muscles at all. She flops like a rag doll.

The really strange fact was that the pigs propped up her torso to give the appearance that she was sitting. She wasn't sitting under her own power at all; she isn't fucking conscious. If a person is simply unconscious, we might not think there'd be a pressure to give the appearance otherwise. But if she was dead, and they knew it, then there would definitely be the pressure to do so, given the number of eyes on this situation.

Agreed but even though the ones in real life do run away, they are dispensable. Whether they die or not it doesn't matter. If they die they get to be used as martyrs - not arguing one shouldn't fight back, just pointing out their strat.- and the number of pawns in real life is exponentially higher than in chess.

The question lies on how to bypass the pawns to get to their bishops, their towers, their kinghts, their queens and kings.

Killing the pawns achieve very little when looking strategically.

We don't even know what was done to her, it could very well have just been a single solid hit to the head or even a tackle that lead to her hitting her head on something.
