~16min of improv. I do this most nights of the week and drive my wife crazy. Maybe some of you will enjoy.

I like it. That sound hosting service looks like it reduces it to 64kbps mono.

Thanks! Tbh I recorded it from my cellphone mic in the middle of the room with the music coming out of a mono amp.

While I have other solutions to this, I always fall back on a simple field recording due to convenience

Check out Amazing MP3 Recorder for Android. In the options you can select different mic sources, including unprocessed or raw no auto-gain, and stereo. Most recorders on phones have noise suppression enabled, muffling the sound etc.

Very listenable throughout. I saw ants playing percussion for a snoring Sasquatch at the beginning. Of course you got a sub named Vinyl, makes sense.

Haha thanks for the visualization. I always enjoy hearing those.

An IRL friend told me it transformed him into an alarm clock and set him to ring at 6am

What specific data points is your experiment seeking numerical data on?

I like around the 4 minute mark.
Keep up the attempts!

Definitely devolved into a mess at the end, pretty sure I just slam my hand on the keyboard a few times.

I have a modular synth, modules of note are the behringer neutron, befaco rampage, clouds, braids, rings.

I was generating most drums from the modular, with snare and clave coming from a pocket operator.

The keyboard is numa compact. I hate it and would love to replace it.

Go to bed, Joel.

Wait, this isn't /mu/ in 2009.

what are you using to make this music? and what kind of music do you listen to? and I'm not ssying it is bad... but it is not my cup of tea. also are you high when you do this? I feel like you have to be.

I am using a modular synthesizer, a electric piano, and a drum machine.

I listen to frank Zappa, which is my main influence.

I do not do drugs because I am not a nigger. I hardly drink either.

Thanks for listening though. I expect most people not to like it. I think a way to approach listening to it is realizing it is me making decisions real time with nothing planned.

Your wife has a good ear for music.
