It has come out as a hoax.
'Deltacron' variant discovery most likely lab error, health experts say -
https://archive.is/b7nee - Archive link, because they'll change it soon enough.
World Health Organization (WHO) COVID-19 technical team leader Dr. Krutika Kuppalli stated that “there is no such thing as Deltacron,” saying it is “likely sequencing artifact,” which she explains to mean lab contamination of Omicron fragments in a Delta specimen.
From another article -
Dr Tom Peacock of Imperial College London.
“The Cypriot ‘Deltacron’ sequences reported by several large media outlets look to be quite clearly contamination - they do not cluster on a phylogenetic tree and have a whole Artic primer sequencing amplicon of Omicron in an otherwise Delta backbone".
“Delta sequences with strange mutations in amplicon 72 have been turning up for ages (for example Delta + Mu NTD insertion) however, they always show this non-monophyletic pattern and are nearly always more easily explained by this primer issue exacerbating very low-level contam.”
But that isn't stopping the media from trying to push their lies.

Of course it is, not even for a second did I entertain the idea of a Chimera virus.
In my backyard I have a pet, its half fish, half dog, half-bird.
Sounds ridiculous right?
