I recall a video posted at Poal that featured some Chinese people discussing Jews, and the opinions (if I'm remembering correctly) were very positive. Basically, they were rich and powerful, and these Chinese interviewees respected them for that. My opinion of the Chinese is not highly informed. I've seen what I've seen from the material that makes its rounds. As a result my opinion of them is not very high; there seems to be a distinct deficit of natural empathic traits. From the animal treatment in markets to the apparently semi-popular fetishes involving the torture of animals, to their apathetic orientation to each other, I just don't find it very surprising that their culture would admire the Jew - strictly from a cold, practical perspective.

Yeah I agree. Hard to say how much of that is due to the regime and how much is due to genetics. I assume theres quite a bit of variation in character traits from north to south as there is in europe. I get the impression that the south is a littler bit more mercenary and corrupt but I could have that wrong. I think they probably have a more caveat emptor approach to business and may be almost as likely to cheat each other as westerners.

They also strike me as politically and culturally maybe a bit naive. They admire jews for being “successful” ie ruthless in business. But I don’t think they really understand the jewish game. Anyone who works for a living will loose if they get in bed with jews. China is no different.
