I don't think supernatural explanations for their success are necessary. I felt a profound revelation when it clicked for me so I hope I'll offer a useful new perspective you might not have considered before.
It's incredibly simple - it's easier to break than to build (basic definition of entropy). We build, they choose to break. Entropy is everywhere and it always proliferates resulting in degradation of everything - our bodies, empires, even stars and black holes. They simply go with its destructive flow, while our energy is spent struggling against it. The great societies of the past were in decay and they latched onto them like parasites onto a dying body, possibly making their decay terminal. They are exactly the reason why we haven't colonized Mars yet, with 0 irony. Afaik they didn't succeed doing that to Rome, of course they were trying to mess with it, but it fell for other reasons.
I think you might be giving them too much credit, they are parasites that managed to suck a lot of energy from great civilizations, who tirelessly built it up. The more energy you gather, the more ways entropy has to dissolve it, more jewish tricks available to be used against you. Mind you, one VERY important reason jews were successful in building up their energy (energy in a general sense, not some new-age "good vibe" shit) is they didn't have to spend it on military like everybody else had to, they were defended by whomever they parasited from.
To me it seems worshipping all kinds of bullshit gives them not some kind of a satanic boon, but simply a communion. Communities are much stronger than the simple sum of their individual parts (it's an effect called emergence, it's astounding when you get to observe it in action) and demonic bullshit forces a kind of a twisted camaraderie for multiple reasons: it CLEARLY defines the us vs. them camps, creates a mutual blackmail ring (Epstein-like) and creates bonds (pulling that shit off is dangerous, so whoever's involved feel thrilled, like they have been through a lot together). How does the jump from assembling small cults to subverting Carthage happens? Fuck if I know, I don't know enough about it to say, but cults are certainly a force not to be underestimated. Even if the supernatural isn't real, superstition is real enough in the heads of most people and, therefore, a vector of cohesion. Christianity managed to subvert Rome somehow, so there you have it.

Those are my materialist attempts to form a coherent worldview, and to me it feels like it has good explanatory power.
