I just had to look up how to set up windows 10 home without having a login. Just don't have internet connected on the account setup page and it will allow for a local user creation.
I'm not that tech savvy, but I know enough to not set up any windows environment with a cloud based account. I also use Linux as my main computer - probably a bit too naively.
I have caught win10 making photo folders on its own. Not sure how it would send them though. This goober probably had some mailing list in outlook or something that fucked him over.
No doubt microsoft gets a copy of everyone's hard drive over time, but yeah, having a mailing list might be the key. Separation of function needs to be practiced more than ever now that every company spies as much as possible.
