So easy to make, 3# honey, 32 oz juice, wine yeast and water to top off the one gallon fermenter. Hardest part is bottling.

I tried Mead a couple of times in the 1990's it was sold in recycled beer bottles, both times it would not "gel" with me and went down the sink .. from memory it was a yellowish liquid like flat beer, I wanted it to work which is why I bought it the second time but it never did.

I get mead from a good old faggot who knows how to make it. He uses Apple cider instead of water. Yeah, it's definitely sweet, but it's my favorite drink in existence. The "high" of mead is unlike anything else, lots of happy energy and it's a damn good aphrodisiac too. That said, I've never found really good mead at the store.
