Great book. The reason it hasn't been successful in film adaptations is because there's a deeper meaning you can only uncover by reading. Truly an orb worth pondering.

The book has a dictionary and a bible to accompany the story. That's the reason why its difficult to put into film. Having the internet is much nicer than it was in 1976, still need it if you want to start reading the story. You want deep, its very deep.
