I watched the first 15minutes of the original one back in the 90s and couldn't make sense of the reasoning behind casting niggers as predominant plot figures, I just assumed that I wouldn't like the rest of the movie and that was that...then all you heard out there was how the matrix was so good....FUCK THAT.

We watched the whole thing on MWG. It is godawful and keeps getting worse the longer you go. It was apparently a critical success, but I have no idea why.

Edit: Also most likely massively lossmaking. Estimated budget around $175 million, projected revenue of $40 million.

Not surprised it's bleeding money. The first one was cool because it brought a lot of innovation to the table. You weren't sure if neo really was the one. That mystery is what makes a good movie. Once you know he's the one you're basically just watching explosions and shoot outs until enough bad guys die and the protagonist can claim victory. When you do that of thing in a movie that takes it self very seriously it's stupid af
