Glad to see they got it off the ground with the intended name. Whether it's called the James Webb telescope or the Aunt Jemima telescope, it will function just the same (as long as there are no niggers at the control center).

If they had changed the name, the launch would have been delayed yet again for a software rewrite, as a lot of the operational code is based around that name.

Watching the launch, i only noticed one nigger in the control center, and he appeard to be from the press.

Do you know the reason it's going so far out? I believe it's something like a million miles away from earth.

It's going to the L2 LaGrange point. It's weird point where the gravity from earth and the centrifugal point of the orbit around the sun are in balance. That way it can have it's back to the sun at all times.

That's pretty cool. I always wondered where they keep stationary telescopes in orbit. This one seems to be going to the L2 LaGrange point.
