Interesting to read with the Hebrew names. I see the new testament bit is also using hebrew names. Is this some sort of jews for jesus site I wonder?

The name ‘Hebrew’ is said to be derived from the name of ‘Eber’, Abraham’s great great great great grandfather. The title is often understood to apply to Jacob-Israel, the grand son of Abraham, and his 12 sons, one of whom was Judah. The group called ‘the Jews’ includes the descendants of Judah, those of the other 12 tribes who became associated with them through the division of the Kingdom of Israel, the captivity in and return from Babylon, and those who married and converted in over time. The ‘Hebrew’ language is understood to be the original language of all people until the Tower of Babel affair, and subsequently that spoken and written by the Hebrew / Israelite people. The language and names in the original Hebrew form contain much information of relevance to those who wish to understand the New Testament. There is good reason to believe that Jesus of Nazareth and the apostles all spoke and wrote in Hebrew. The scriptures mentioned in the New Testament are of course the Old Testament Hebrew scriptures, without which the New Testament is vulnerable to many and varied interpretations, but together with the Old Testament texts and understanding of the Hebrew, and the Greek translations, there is a far more coherent and deep witness available of the Word of God. The phrase “the Old Testament is the New Testament foretold, and the New Testament is the Old Testament fulfilled” illustrates the inseparable nature of the two.
There is no indication that the Israelites were disloyal to the Egyptians, and the subsequent persecutions by Pharaoh are all predicated on his paranoia over the fact that the Israelites were thriving. The loyalty of Israel is and was due solely to Almighty God the creator of all things :)
