Even the first one was shit, it was only technically good from an SFX standpoint for when it was made.
Like Avatar, it will not stand up to the test of time.

Dark City was a better movie, Matrix was plagiarism and subversion of original content made by jew trannies.

The first one was excellent regardless of TMN (Too Many Niggers). The next two were actually good if you can get through the gratuitous diversity crap and pointless strong womyn bullshit.

My theory is that they deliberately made the followup movies shitty so less people would watch them — even though both movies provide greater detail about the matrix in which we are currently trapped.

Agreed, but I never gave a shit about their relationship. The only reason love interests are put in movies like this is because the movie company wants to appeal to women, soyboys, and fags. (I read that once in an interview with a movie director.) I was more interested in the concept of the matrix throughout the series.

Why not Star Wars? The prequels (also known as the only good trilogy, even the original trilogy isn't that great) were all about how this little religious cult that thinks they've been unfairly oppressed for a long time infiltrates the government and business communities, pits them against each other to create a fake conflict, and uses that fake controlled conflict to increase their own power while they escalate it into a real conflict that drags everyone in. Along the way there's a long nosed penny pinching slave owning merchant with a brooklyn accent and his prize slave whose name sounds like American kills a bunch of sand people in the movie that came out just after 9/11. Plus there's a scene where one of the cultists is literally striking a guy with lightning while crying out in pain. Makes you wonder what George Lucas really thought about the rest of hollywood.
