My brother had an aneurysm coupled with two strokes a number of years ago. He was supposed to die. After the miracle that he lived, he was supposed to be a vegetable. After the miracle that he was not a vegetable, he was supposed to be retarded.

Yesterday, I'm taking him out to play complex board games with my friends (he on rare occasions pulls off a win). I see for the first time with me he has a mask, but it is under his chin. I said immediately, "What the fuck is with the mask?" as I walked past him to handle something. He goes, "eh, I'm just wearing it ... you know what, good point." He takes it off.
