People who are subconciously ashamed of their race are most offended by racist comments. Change my mind.

People who hold conflicting internal beliefs are the ones most likely to be violent or "double-down" in support of the view they are outwardly stating. It goes for race, religion, "belief in science", and especially personal inadequacies.

They are fighting their sub-conscious and external facts at the same time. They are mentally cornered and the "fight or flight" response kicks in.

Some people will throw all their gambling chips on the table and hope for the best not realizing the game is rigged. When their bet fails they will look to place blame on anyone but themselves.

People with no self-esteem or hope for their future are the most likely to attach themselves to "groups" and feel threatened when any part of that group is held in a negative light.

People with self-esteem, gainful employment/skills, strong family ties, and building a strong future have no fear of words.

Self respect, not self esteem. Self respect comes from proving to yourself that you're good at it. Self esteem, as it's passed around by jewschools is words alone and externally sourced ones at that.
