I got a couple messages from two sets of public schools (I know--I don't have many options right now) saying there definitely isn't any credibility to some vague threats we may have heard about. Even though we shouldn't take the 'tiktok trend' seriously, they will.
I checked for recent news about tiktok school threats and there's nothing older than the last couple hours. This feels very sudden and coordinated. Is some kind of astro-turfing going on?
Where did the ball start rolling? My guess is something like DOJ put out notice to schools saying, "we're tracking this threat. Be ready to announce it but not until we tell you to." Then maybe the media is just responding to the school announcements?

She was amped for the punch a teacher day. With 6 months left until retirement, some punk kid would have left school in an ambulance.
Its supposed to be a different "prank" every day. Most of them don't qualify as a prank.
