It's an important lesson to learn. Telling children about lies will rob them of the opportunity to exercise their cognitive skills.

Imagine if you hindered your child's physical development by not allowing them to run around because they might fall over and hurt themselves.

Children themselves start to fabricate lies around the ages of 3-5, it is an important milestone in cognitive development.
They need to understand people have different beliefs than they do.

Otherwise children grow up to be gullible retards and continue to beleive lies like their governemtn helps them and religion.
