Most of the feedback I've seen concerns availability. Specifically that the default browser on iPhones don't support the format.

I've heard folks mention workarounds, such as installing VLC player on the phone and that's asking the user to do work.

Converting to MP4 lowers the bar of entry, allowing more goats to view the content and participate in discussion.
