Funny you should mention miasmas, are you familiar with the origin of the term? It wasn't about disease, it was about injustice. The belief was that if a society allowed injustices to go unpunished and evildoers to walk free, a cloud of bad karma (miasma) would build up and the entire society would be punished by natural disasters such as plagues, earthquakes, crop failures etc.

So yes, by failing to punish the jews for their crimes we are encouraging septic miasma.
