I think it was probably number two, though I fail to see how watching the first one could be such a dramatic course correction. I don't recall ever seeing any other movie as a child that I hated more.
Huh. I loved number one. You may well be talking about it. It has its boring and cringe worthy traits. Some annoying and overly dramatic parts too. Looking back on it I cant appreciate the movie as I once did but it still has many aspects I quite like.
It's a high-fantasy children's movie of it's time. It will certainly have it's.. hiccups. It does tell a good story with lots of interesting characters for a child to think/imagine about.
