Started watching it. Despite being fan fiction it captures the spirit of the original series quite well, even if the actors are all shittier versions of their predecessors.

I watched the episodes they had as of several (many?) years ago, but it took so long between episodes that I gave up on checking back.

Now they are up to 11 episodes.

The guy who plays Kirk got run out of the voice acting industry by degenerates for being Christian and making them look bad in comparison.

I've watched several of these, and really enjoyed them. James Doohan's son plays Scotty in a few episodes.

First of all I find it unlikely that we will have developed warp engines but not anti-aging technology or strong AI so the whole premise of Star Trek is built on a shaky if you ask me.

Agreed but original Star Trek is more like space drama and philosophical debates than true sci-fi.

Good start.

The quality is on par with original TOS episodes. Not bad at all. The writing and stories are what was important about those episodes, not special effects or moving music.

You'd think they would just make new characters rather than try to duplicate the old characters, but I guess that makes it easier to dovetail with the old series and the established characters. I plan on finishing the first episode and watching more.

Hah, computer voice sounded like Sirtis (Dianna Troi) and it indeed is.

I still think original Star Trek is a good show though.
