It's a bit too blurry to be sure, but that looks a lot like Merrion Square in Dublin. Did your source say where in the UK this was?

It's the main protest street in Dublin because it's nice and wide and it runs right alongside the Dáil (parliament) and Oifig an Thaoisigh (office of the prime minister). There's also a large park to the left where people can gather before/afterwards.

The bus sign looks different but I think Dublin Bus changed their signage recently.

Edit: I managed to get a decent still of the bus sign, it's Merrion Square. The sign on the bus stop says:

If I'd noticed that earlier it would have been a lot easier. I was trying to match trees to the google maps image and checking out the bus routes on the sign.

At one point the bus sign does come into focus and says "Cg. Muirfean Thiar/Merrion Square West" which is the street right outside the Irish Parliament.
