Most everyone is a "survivor" of last years cold, and out of the whole state (article states over 200 people died in the time, from cold, CO poisoning (retards), and car crashes...)
She "survived" by going to a luxury hotel for 4 days.... LOL
I also found the irony of a "cold temperature survival" story from the (((weather))) people who constantly spout that the warming climate will kill us all

The lady also "prepped" by moving out of Texas.
It would be so hilarious if another cold snap followed her. Power losses are going to be a lot more common due to pedo joe's energy policy and the whole "green" push by libtards.

Not many people have enough common sense to have survival skills anymore.
The number of carbon monoxide deaths is alarming - how many people understand that burning stuff takes fresh oxygen?
There was a study I found a while back that said using an externally built fireplace (one where most of the brick is outside of the house) actually makes it colder to run - because the cold air coming into the house exceeds the warm air (most of which goes right up the chimney).
There was also a prepper video guy that talks about a "special kind of fuel" to use indoors.... Big nope on that. Anything that burns with carbon in it should be carefully used as a heater. "special" fuel or not, it can lead to CO poisoning if not used properly.
Nice to see this alcohol stove used outdoors - I wonder if anyone would try to use it indoors? (alcohol is a carbon chain - with one carbon [methanol] or two carbons [ethanol] so it can still make CO). Although the risk is a lot lower than with wood or other carbon based fuels.

Completely agree.
We live in such an age of convenience that we never bother to understand the true struggle for survival.
So many "safety" warnings, that we are deprived of thinking of consequences.
I have to admit that my way of life has also become too convenient in many ways. If that convenience were taken away, I would be a little shocked at having to remember the old ways.
Something as simple has having a flashlight in common areas is foreign to many people.
You would probably surprise yourself,by how fast you learn when situations arise. Then,BAM;your looking at knife & hatchet adverts, camo clothes start looking cool..ect,ect..Yep,then yer hooked.

But making people mad seems to bring them back time after time.
