(((Banking))) (((government))) and (((education))) all colluding to deceive and rob the youth.
Banking for the high interest
Government for making student debt permanent (can not be cleared through bankruptcy)
Education for raising costs to suck up all the available monies from deluded young people.
If even one of these (((three))) didn't extort the students, then the problem wouldn't really be that bad. If two decided to be human, then education would be within reach of everyone.
These loans only exist because they're backed with taxpayer guarantees. Otherwise no one would be lending gender studies majors a hundred thousand dollars.
He won't necessarily starve... but there are plenty of adults in their 50s and 60s still stuck with student debt. Most of them have just accepted the fact that they'll be stuck with it until the day they die.
Debt can be useful, sure. Investing in yourself is essential as well, whether you need to take on debt for it or not. A principle to live by: owe no man anything.
Imagine getting a masters degree in education nearly 40 years ago and still paying on those loans. (A real-life example I know of; paying student loans into retirement is embarrassing).
I agree. Personally I'm debt free, although I'd happily borrow for something substantial like starting a business. I wouldn't borrow more than I could afford to repay if things didn't go well though.
Exactly. If you take your sweet while paying someone back you are costing them time. That needs to have a price or everyone would take as long to pay back as possible.
But it's the AGREED upon time (BEFOREHAND) that you're paying them back what you BORROWED. Plus an interest.but NOT interest ON the interest they charged you. NOT part of the borrowing.
I mean they can convince a number of people that a bigger number in your accounts means more money, so its only logical that you pay for the shit you got more thorugh their actions, besides something something...unrealized capital.
At an 8% APR it would take 23 years to build up the amount he specified. How much you want to bet he was an idiot that didn't make any payments and got struck by fines and boosted interest rates.
Also, who the fuck is retarded enough to go more then 30K in the hole. If you don't make it through college at least the payments will not kill you (just cripple you).
On the other hand it's retarded to call 18 and 19 year olds teenagers and unable to make decisions with consequences considering our society is already being infantilized far too much.
True. It'd be better if "Idiot 18 year old signs $100,000 loan for literature course." were something that makes a funny headline, rather than an everyday occurrance promoted by teachers and government officials.
As much as I hate irresponsible people who waste fucktons of money on useless degrees, gonna have to acknowledge that the bigger problem is systemic jewish matriarchy and not just individual choice.
It's both. Although I'm fine with idiots ruining themselves. If they get artificially protected from this kind of abject failure then that'll only create more idiots.
It's a shame that flies are trapped by sticky paper too. Since high school doesn't teach you how to do financial bookkeeping, it's a trick and a trap, not informed consent.
Income based repayment. Make payments of 10% of your income minus rent for 10 years and it's paid off. Still a rip-off but it limits the amount someone would have to pay if they got a shitty degree and couldn't get a job.

Interest on interest- Kike subversion
Someone dumb enough to get this far into debt, and then take so long to pay it off that it's grown this huge- that's their fault too.
If you have to take out a loan, pay it off ASAP so you don't accrue interest.

It's not like they don't explain that if you take X years to pay it off, you'll end up paying many times the principal.
