The article doesn't say what you think the headline says. What you think the headline says: The mRNA vaccine will infect your cells and alter its DNA. What the article actually says is that, based on the way your immune system works, when you get ANY vaccine, or ANY infection, your immune system responds with antibodies, and antibodies work by coming up with novel DNA that binds to the infection. Hence antibodies in some sense "change your DNA". It's a really obtuse and stupid point to be making.

What's amusing is that the article says an MIT study showing how an mRNA vaccine could actually alter DNA was "highly irresponsible" because "their work might be twisted, once anti-vaxxers got their hands on it", but it turns out their article is providing fuel against the mRNA vaccines.

Note for the binary thinkers: I have not and will not take the jab.

The truth is, the J&J and AZ vaccines do change the DNA of some cells. The Pfizer and Moderna ones do not.

We're not even talking about "scientists". We're talking about journalists. Whose job is to grab eyeballs, and who've found the best way to do so is to incite as much hysteria as possible. You can discount this instance being propaganda as the propagandists wouldn't want to "reveal" this.

mRNA does what it does, it doesn't somehow infect DNA. Assuming that's actually what's in the vaccine, I'm not going to get into the rabbit hole of what's actually in it and what it's really intended for with this argument.

If you want to make a logical argument, make it with logic. Don't leave holes that allow people to pick you apart.
