I would call that a little too specific.

It is about exercising the Natural Right of self defense first of all. All 3 of those he fired upon were threats to his life. That in itself should have been the reason for the case to be thrown out on day 1.

Secondly, the case is about being able to defend a community from anyone - including rioters. It is a minor point (albeit very pleasant) that everyone fired upon had a criminal record (and I would go so far as to add 'criminal intent' for their actions all through the night).

The Missouri couple that pled guilty almost derailed the whole self-defense argument for the country, but I can understand why they did it.

For future reference, do not point the gun without firing (ie, if you point it at someone, there better be a reason, and that should end up with a bullet firing), but just keep it at the ready, and if you feel threatened, make sure to verbalize "I fear for my life", because if that ends up recorded in some way, it will be a very strong argument for self-defense.
