You don't say why it isn't. This god has the power to create the universe, and he really wants me to believe the truth about him, but he won't make himself known to everybody unambiguously, but instead chooses to reveal himself through a handful of prophets, that all have different messages? Why?

You also never address the self-serving nature of the Jewish god Yahweh, and how he picks the Jews as a Chosen People with a Promised Land.

Of course, you don't talk about how even those people can't agree among themselves which of the three major religions is the truth, let alone all the disagreements within each religion. You think "Allah" allows the Sunnis and Shiite to kill each other over this truth, without just stepping in and revealing the truth to end the dispute.


I do so because Christianity is a direct offshoot of Judaism, and Islam a direct offshoot of that. That's why the Christian Bible includes the Old Testament (the Jewish Torah). That's why Islam recognizes the "people of the Book" and refers to the Torah, and why Islam recognizes Jesus as a prophet. That other religions believed in one god is just more evidence for the plethora of religions. I even stated that the Jews borrowed from other religions. Different people making different shit up. Some of it borrowed. But you think Islam is the one "true" mythology.


I've read large parts of the Koran. And? It was clearly written by men. Not even Islamic scholars claim it was delivered from the heavens, untouched by the hands of men. The only claim of divination is to say it was an angel talking to Mohamed. And again, how weird that the being with the power to create the universe would just use "prophets" to get his message out, which is indistinguishable from people making shit up like they so often do.


What you really fear is that you have no answer for it. It shows that you believe in man-made mythology out of a superstitious fear designed to coerce you into believing nonsense without evidence. The stick is that you will burn in hell if you don't believe. The carrot is that you will live in everlasting paradise if you do. It's a chain letter handed down across the centuries.


I accept what the evidence points to. As individual experience, there was oblivion before I was born. My experience is tied to my material makeup and the universe I live in. I presume without it, my oblivion will return after I die. Of course, I could be wrong. I'm not omniscient. But that's what the evidence points to.


I have no idea why the universe was spawned, or if "why" even makes sense. What I can say is that the vastness of the universe, as revealed by modern telescopes, is orders upon orders upon orders of magnitude greater than what the original mythologists imagined. The idea it was created just for us by a personal god that cares for us, and wants us to worship and believe in him or face everlasting torture, is best explained as man-made mythology in the face of ignorance.
