In defense of Vietnam vets, a lot of them were drafted, and then sent in, in small groups, under armed, with shitty support, to fight ill equipped in a place none of them were trained for. Compared to today’s ‘wars for Israel’ vets, these guys drew the short straw. Just my opinion, based on study of the conflict.

Ive spoken with thousands of Viet vets over the last 5 years. I can count on 1 hand the ones that say they were drafted. They all claim to have volunteered. I can count on 2 fingers the ones that admit they got a bad discharge. I know they got fucked. I have half a dozen friends that were there then got shit on when they came home. I got to my ship in SF in '80. If I went to a bar in the city they'd look at my military haircut and refuse to serve me. 5 years after the war ended! Im saying they have no reason to disrespect me for trying to help. Some of them have been fucking assholes. Most of the guys we help are Viet vets.
