Turmeric is great stuff! Arthritis runs in my family and I started getting it in my 30s. When I started taking turmeric pills my hands no longer hurt and they haven't since.

Fucking hell, how have I not heard of this. What dose do you take and what brand?

[ - ] calx 1 point 2.5 yearsNov 9, 2021 14:51:41 ago (+1/-0)

Howdy - I get it from the local health food store. It's the Nature's Way brand and it's one capsule a day (750mg per capsule.) Hope it helps!

MegaFood makes an awesome formulation called "Daily Turmeric". It's great for both tissue repair and pain relief.

It's primarily composed of Turmeric and Dark Cherries (paired, these are surprisingly effective for pain relief) and it's got loads of other good stuff in it, including the black pepper (may or may not be bioperene. Still awesome.) along with citrus bioflavinoids for rapid tissue repair, blueberry for test support, etc.

Great value too. All in all, highly recommended, especially if you still lift.

I have a chicken casserole recipe (had since kid) with Turmeric in it. Makes the sauce a soft yellow? Not sure. But I Think so. It cures hunger. temporarily.

I have no recipe with Bioprene in it.

Piperin is synergistic with curcumin. Grind up some pepper and put it in the casserole.

[ - ] ButtToucha9000 1 point 2.5 yearsNov 9, 2021 14:48:39 ago (+1/-0)

Curcumin(ingredient in Turmeric) needs Piprin to be absorbed.

Piprin is black pepper.

Take turmeric powder, ground black pepper, ginger powder, and coconut oil and mix it into a paste. Refrigerate and take a tablespoon every day.

Ever heard of Noni fruit for arthritis? It's something that I only ever heard once, but I haven't forgotten.

Boron and magnesium too

[ - ] Timothymcoyvey 0 points 2.5 yearsNov 9, 2021 14:30:03 ago (+0/-0)

Do you have to take anything with the boron?

For example, zinc depletes copper.

[ - ] SouthernComfort 0 points 2.5 yearsNov 10, 2021 03:01:19 ago (+0/-0)

https://www.backdoorspa.co.nz/borax-arthritis-protocol

Borax comes from boron. 20 Mule Team or in Europe Sodium Tetraborate. It is difficult in some areas (Germany) to buy with EU listing this as tetragenic. Its less tetragenic than table salt.

Borax kills fungus in and on body as well. Helps flush fluoride bromide and chlorine from the body.

Magnesium is mentioned in protocol. Is better to buy magnesium chloride flakes, make magnesium oil. Ratio is 1:1 ie 1 cup magnesium flakes to 1 cup boiling water. Stir until flakes dissolve. Use with a carrier oil externally. The body will absorb what it needs. It is difficult to overdose with topical magnesium oil application in other words.

Magnesium oil helps alleviate pain, muscle cramps and strain.

Thank you.

What is a good carrier oil?

[ - ] SouthernComfort 0 points 2.5 yearsNov 11, 2021 17:55:50 ago (+0/-0)

Coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil, almond (aka sweet) oil. Àll of these are easy to find and use.

[ - ] Timothymcoyvey 0 points 2.5 yearsNov 12, 2021 00:14:16 ago (+0/-0)

Out of curiosity, If it turns into an "oil" what do you need a carrier oil for?

[ - ] SouthernComfort 0 points 2.5 yearsNov 14, 2021 03:18:23 ago (+0/-0)

The salinity of the 'oil' is high. It becomes a skin irritant. The carrier oil acts as a buffer allowing magnesium to be absorbed by skin into body with little to no irritation.

Carrier oil preference is really down to purity, cost, ease to get and skin type. Some oils absorb quicker than others depending the person.

You are the only one not following the logical format of posts.

You should make the title the ailment, then give the remedy.

Now I need to guess tumeric and biprene causes arthritis. But if I had arthritis, I could have came to this sub, scrolled until I saw "arthritis" in a title, then find the remedy.
