The tolerances for the motor (human pusher) to operate (i.e. pushing straight ahead and not hitting the posts) was tighter than the inherent wobblines (technical term) of the system.
Result: Muslim Bubba fucked up and killed some people.
Thats half the fun tho. Its why the rides on those moving fun fares, are always more exciting than the ones at theme parks, despute the theme park rides being bigger, faster and with higher G's....
Cos sure, it more 'exciting' - but look at all those thick iron beams set deep in concrete, with welds as thick as your dick....but that carney ride, thats been taken down and rebuilt hundreds of times, put up with road vibrations, doesn't get maintained properly and is entirely supported by a bunch of random bits of wood to level it, and is just on damp grass.... creaking bolts, safety equipment that doesn't work...now thats exciting.

That was so predictable, there’s no way it was there for more then a few days before that happened. It would have cost another $20 worth of chain to build it so that’s impossible.
No kidding. The extra chain would have made it impossible to even track left/right like that. Tgere’s still probly a half dozen better solutions then either of these, yet not 1 occurred to the dozen pageets involved in building that thing lol.
