Bluegrass has evolved, you just won't know about it unless you look for it. Sturgill Simpson and Billy Strings both cut new albums in that genre and they're great. As with anything, you have to put in effort to find what's real. Also, this isn't anything new. The music industry has been a tool for a long time. The CIA and the tavistock institute have taken over music as a way to steer culture going back to at least the Beatles, the Doors, the Beach Boys and many more.
If you have to start a search expedition to find it, it doesn't count as popular music. If it's not popular music, then by definition the masses do not hear it. If the masses do not hear it, it won't become part of the culture.

We always camp on hippy road a little behind the bath house. We go to rising too now.
SOSMP is a magical place. I got married there, and we we're gifted tickets to Rising. No pressure, but we got a group heading there next April. If you stay in touch I'd love to raise a glass with ya. You could even meet a few other goats, who I won't name publicly.

I am The one that put all of the stage lights up in the trees and on the back road leading from the entrance- along the fence- to hippy road. We basically had the whole area roped off behind that building the paramedics set up next to by the upper entrance..

Same boat here, captain. I really enjoyed the animated album (I believe it is called Sound and Fury). Bits of the animation and some of the lyrics made me wonder if he was one of ours, but I made the mistake of hearing his opinion on too many things.
That said there's still a lot of good music that's not utterly kiked. Lost Dog Street Band for example, or Sierra Hull. Old county, and singer/songwriters are still what I listen to most. Sierra Hull is beautiful and talented, but I may be biased as a mandolin player. Townes Van Zandt, Kris Kristofferson, and John Prine will always be timeless regardless of politics. Sometimes it's useful to separate the art from the artist.

Rock music has been pussified into indie hipster trash, and metal usually evolves every decade or so. The last big metal subgenre that came out was Djent and that started around 2008 as the metalcore genre(s) were starting to get boring. Metal is due for a new subgenre and it'll probably be integrated with electronic (again) so possibly another Industrial metal wave coming this decade.
