Only so much time to get the message out: carbon is life. Stopping the carbon cycle stops life. Oil and coal must be burned to return that carbon to the cycle. Oil and coal were once plant matter. They can become plants again through combustion. Burning them makes the earth's 80 TW photosynthesis engine more efficient (currently about 0.1%). Human consumption is 15 TW. Other power sources strip topsoil and create forever-molecule byproducts, which permanently destroy the earth's natural photosynthetic engine.
