Why is the judge playing Jeopardy with Rittenhouse Jury?

The answer for one of the questions was a quote by Sam Johnson:
"Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel."

I dont know the context of that quote, taken out of context however, it sounds like if anyone in the jury wants to be patriotic, they will be deemed a scoundrel.

A judge can vacate a jury's guilty verdict and set someone free and he can't be retried.

A few were dismissed because, as they put it, guns made them too upset. Seems like a lot of the jurors they kept were all for gun ownership.

They were just waiting for all the jurors to file in or something procedural was happening: it was a fun way to kill time in the courtroom.

Answer is “this man is a patriot who acted in self defense”

True. Just seems like an inappropriate activity for judge and jury to engage in. That quote was just one of the few questions I listened to... I skipped ahead.

Another question was about playboy bunnies. Not necessarily a huge deal, just think it's kinda weird.

It's normal for a judge to kill time while waiting for things to get started. I believe that one of the lawyers was not ready at that time.
