Here's the bits of my religious exemption, why it works, and copy/paste text and resources you can use.

submitted by totes_magotes to whatever 3.5 yearsOct 29, 2021 19:37:37 ago (+43/-1)     (whatever)

If you're here to complain about how this is some bullshit, go fuck off to your wet-dreams about violent revolution in your mom's basement. There are other people here who either aren't ready to get violent or can't let their employment status change. I do more to keep stupid sick fucks like you safe and alive every day than you will your entire life. I work with police, EMS, and fire so that they can get to you fast when you drop your tendies.

So, the text of everything is long. I'm going to have to pump this into the comments at some point and I will cut some things out that will either dox me or are so specific to me that it won't apply to anyone else.

I'm going to give you a breakdown of how I laid out my exemption filing and why it works. I was raise a fundamental baptist. You think orthodox anything is weird? You ain't seen nothing until you're raised in that shit. An everyday part of the indoctrination is how to cover your ass legally in regards to your religion. If we're being honest, yes, you absolutely can use Biblical texts to support any position you want and you're going to see how this works to create a legal scenario that can't be denied. This is a legal arena and you have to think and operate in a legal context. This means, like literally any other accommodation, you need to define and provide the following, without exception:

1. That you need an accommodation
2. What accommodation you require
3. WHY you need an accommodation

Don't kid yourself, employers and legal teams are absolutely allowed to investigate your claim to see if you're just abusing the system or if you are claiming one thing while doing another, JUST LIKE ANY OTHER LEGAL REQUEST. This is not the time for a "fury of the righteous" explosion. And, yes, if you want there are indeed Biblical references commanding you to follow these legal paths (in Romans, if you care). And for the record, my exemption cleared 2 external legal teams, one in-house legal team, and company HR. And given our close work with government agencies, this is NOT an easy task.

Before we get into the details, though, you need to understand that a religious exemption is as much a legal right as requesting an accommodation because of a disability. It is a legal request and YOU are in control. You're not asking them for anything, you are absolutely TELLING them how it is. The beauty of how this works is that you don't even have to hold extreme views though you do have to know your scriptures and what those things mean.

Generally, you don't want to provide a long written explanation however if a legal team decides to question you, you will have to think on the fly and come up with the right answers without research during an interview. It's better to provide an overwhelming amount of evidence and lock it in in the filing than to have to have an interview.

Remember, above all else, your goal here is to "Deny, deflect, delay." We all know the dangers the current vaccines have because we're looking at that data daily. Businesses are not. Legal teams are not. You have to present them with something they can swallow in the context the work in and in a way they can understand.

Here's an outline of the request... look in the comments for the actual text because it's LONG.

1. Legal preamble
2. Religious offense
3. Statement of position
4. Authority reference
5. Technical data
6. Why the currently available vaccines are sin
7. Judgement and damnation
8. The 10 Commandments
9. The duty of every Christian
10. The likeness of God

I'll give you a give description of each so that you understand WHY each section is necessary and why it works as a whole.

Legal Preamble.

You are laying the legal foundation, just like any good lawyer, of what your rights are, clear established definitions and stating legal precedent. It tells the legal teams that you know exactly what's up and that they can't get away with denying you as a matter of standard course because if they do, you already know what laws they've violated.

Religious offense

Protection of religion is sacrosanct and the protection of it is enshrined not only in the first amendment but in various other rights laws that have been passed. By presenting umbrage, you set yourself up as not only devout (which is important) but if you do it right you can explain in the filing why no one can tell how devout you are.

Statement of position

This is your perspective and why it's a deeply held personal religious belief. This also sets the framework for you to comply only as far as you WANT and you can draw that line literally anywhere you choose. This is how you do it.

Authority reference

While the pope himself has said that you should get vaccinated, the legal preamble allows you to throw that statement aside as though it's worth less than dirt while invoking statements of religious authorities, even in the Catholic religion. These people have played in this business longer than you have. Let them do the heavy lifting.

Technical data

Normally you have to be exquisitely careful about presenting your objection based on the safety of the vaccination. However, this section is worded so carefully as to allow you to present any official data you want to support your position.

Why the currently available vaccines are sin

Remember, it has to be a DEEPLY held personal belief. You have to relate this somehow to your religion.

Judgement and damnation

What good is it to have these beliefs if there's no incentive? This is the incentive.

The 10 Commandments

The 10 commandments are a strong foundation of civil life. Use them.

The duty of every Christian

Why is it you have to follow these beliefs? Because you're commanded to

The likeness of God

This is just... this section is just art and it seals the deal in a way that... well, it honestly seems to me like it was inspired so I'm not going to question it.

Check the comments for the text of the exemption filing.

There is a biblical example of a religious exemption: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego is the book of Daniel.

Very powerful story and quite different from the exemptions I see now...

1. It wasn't man's law allowed the exemption. It was God's.

2. The trio didn't apply to Nebuchadnezzar II for their exemption. They simply exempted themselves and trusted God to protect them.

3. They exempted themselves not TO worship, but FROM worship. This is a big one.

The government has you asking for permission to observe the truth calling it a religion while they worship false gods calling it fact. Never ask permission to worship. Always refuse to worship their Gods. Trust God.

Matthew 4:7

Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

In this, you are to do everything you can for yourself, relying on God when all other avenues fail.

can't let their employment status change.

I see, nigger wouldn't dare run away from his master. I can't relate, I'm white, I always have other options.

Pay my bills, take care of my elderly disabled mother. When you've done that, then you have a say what I do with my life. Until then, fuck off back to your agency and tell them you failed.

[ - ] voatisajewishheaven 1 point 3.5 yearsOct 30, 2021 11:08:16 ago (+1/-0)

Good job enrolling yourself into permanent servitude all to enhance the quality of life of someone who already has a foot in the grave.

You're like those niggers who whine "we were forced into slavery", if you had any dignity you would have chosen death.

Like liberals you use too many words. No I'm not going to take the injection. Religion and health have nothing to do with it. I do not give in to peer pressure and tyranny so fuck off. Simple.

Go back to your basement and jerk off to your violence fantasies, retard.

Not sure why you felt this guy deserved this response. I really appreciate what you've posted here, and I generally agree with your tactics, but I also agree with people who want to take a stand and just say "fuck off".

I guess he insulted you a little first, but he never said anything even mildly violent. Just that he isn't going to give a verbose explanation of his rights - he will simply enforce them with a "no".

I think you both have a fair idea of how best to proceed for yourselves, and this comment of yours detracts from your overall point.

Let's not all attack eachother over our different approaches, when realistically we ought to be helping eachother.

Again, thank you for the excellent post.

[ - ] totes_magotes [op] 0 points 3.5 yearsOct 30, 2021 12:55:49 ago (+0/-0)

Because the alternative to using the legal framework we have set up for situations just like this is to abandon the law. In order to abandon the law and "fix" things, you need to resort to violence. There's only three groups of people that would need to have this addressed: the president, OSHA, employers. Since the response they give is to abandon the law now instead of earlier or later and as a direct response to employers seeking to require vaccination, the directly implied target is employers.

Further, if he's so happy to not take the shot, that's his choice but he has to face the consequences. Given that this is a post for the people who wish to follow their faith and it clearly stated "Take your whining elsewhere, this post isn't for you", then OP clearly wanted to just make a point of abandoning everything you work for including a legal framework and either live in destitution and homelessness or resort to violence.

It's a very clear statement which demands a very clear response.

Man sure am glad for a real job with respectable leadership that would have told us they'll never ask for our right to medical freedom in exchange for employment. Our CEO seemed genuine but perhaps he also knows we are highly skilled and can't afford to lose us. My suggestion to everyone is become irreplaceable. Only replaceable people who work from home are generally mandated.

[ - ] totes_magotes [op] -1 points 3.5 yearsOct 30, 2021 07:32:31 ago (+0/-1)

My suggestion to everyone is become irreplaceable

This is the correct answer. It is the one that takes power without destroying yourself. And doing that takes time. In the meantime, however, you have to rely on hope. If you turn everything into a war, it's a self-destructive path so you rely on cunning, laws. That's the point of the laws.

So you gonna sit here and tell people to lose their jobs, destroy their families, take up violence against employers and the government and you won't do a fucking thing to show that you are worth listening to. Glow brighter.

[ - ] chrimony 0 points 3.5 yearsOct 30, 2021 00:16:45 ago (+1/-1)

Strawman. All I said was that I'm not taking the jab. That you will do so to continue paying your bills is on you. It's not my job to go to DC with a gun so you don't have to make that decision.

[ - ] TopTierCIAShill 3 points 3.5 yearsOct 29, 2021 22:29:32 ago (+4/-1)

Will you feel smart when you realize that your little smart legal loophole fails, and that you will eventually forced to take the jab?

Will you still feel some sort of "moral superiority" by punching those on your side by mocking them and saying taking out the government isn't a viable option?

Will you still attempt your legal shenanigans when the government throws all justice aside? What will you do then? Still tell people to pay your bills?

Fuck your cell phone bill, fuck your internet bill, and fuck your compliance with the government.

Thanks for that. That's looks very involved. I used the template from the link below. It's meant for hospital workers, but can work for any employer. It uses the argument of not putting unclean things into the body. My company never got back to me about it after I submitted.

If you have been previously vaccinated, what has changed or what are your observations about the blah blah blah.

“The COVID-19 vaccine” is an overly simplistic view which clearly and plainly says that all COVID vaccines are identical. They are not. Moderna and Pfizer are mRNA technologies, Johnson & Johnson is an adenoviral vector approach. All three use the full spike protein sequence. Novavax uses a protein subunit approach where moth cells are used to incubate viral patterns before refinement and introduction to soapbark tree extract to boost immune response. As you will see, these vaccines are different and require different considerations. And, as you will see, COVID vaccines currently available in the United States are not in the same category as other vaccines so the question as worded is unnecessarily fallacious, attempting to show a relation where none may exist.

Please explain your reasoning for a request:

Based on laws and rights afforded me, I choose to exercise my right to request a religious exemption for currently available COVID-19 vaccinations based on deeply and sincerely held religious beliefs.

Federal law provides that it does not matter whether one’s sincere religious belief corresponds to any denomination or that it might even contradict the teaching of one’s denomination. As the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations provides (https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/29/1605.1):

The fact that no religious group espouses such beliefs or the fact that the religious group to which the individual professes to belong may not accept such belief will not determine whether the belief is a religious belief of the employee or prospective employee...

Also, I am aware that the United States Supreme Court has held that “[W]e reject the notion that to claim the protection of the Free Exercise Clause, one must be responding to the commands of a particular religious organization.” Frazee v. Illinois Dep’t of Emp. Sec., 489 U.S. 829, 834, 109 S. Ct. 1514, 1517–18, 103 L. Ed. 2d 914 (1989). In other words, it is the law of the land that my personal religious belief against any vaccination or any currently available vaccines does not have to be supported by any particular religious organization, not even any Church to which I may belong. I do not have to show that any particular religion positively forbids me to take any particular COVID-19 vaccine; my personal religious belief forbids me.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has instructed that reasonable accommodations in this context may include wearing a face mask, social distancing from coworkers or non-employees, testing, working a modified shift, telework, or reassignment. See EEOC COVID-19 Vaccine Guidance, Sec. K.2., https://www.eeoc.gov/wysk/what-you-should-know-about-covid-19-and-ada-rehabilitation-act-and-other-eeo-laws. Any of these accommodations would be an acceptable alternative to obtaining vaccines that violate my good-faith, sincerely held religious beliefs.

Note: For reference, the VEARS and ADR Reports urls are given here:
https://vaers.hhs.gov/
https://www.adrreports.eu/en/index.html

Before I begin, I feel that I must make it clear that I am deeply troubled that I must bring my religious beliefs into the workplace and place them on display for judgement and discernment. It has been my lifelong practice to keep all manner of my religious practices completely private from anyone and I am offended that I must bring it out to others as we are clearly instructed to pray and practice our faith in secret (Matthew 6:5-8). Still, I understand the reasoning and that no offense may have been intended and see it as a mechanism to respect my faith and am grateful for the opportunity to compile my beliefs in a coherent manner for you to understand.

Where scripture does not expressly instruct on a particular matter, I believe and observe that I am required to search the Scripture myself for related truths (Romans 15:4) and to seek personal guidance from the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38-39; Romans 8). If I fail to submit to the personal convictions that the Holy Spirit and Scripture has impressed upon me, I will be sinning against God. Further, Romans 13:5 clearly tells us to follow such laws and rules as long and as far as our conscience allows. To ignore the conscience my faith has allowed me to develop is to commit a sin against God.

Four Bishops (Reverend Samuel J. Aquila - Archbishop of Denver, Reverend Stephen J. Berg - Bishop of Pueblo, Reverend James R. Golka - Bishop of Colorado Springs, Reverend Jorge Rodriguez - Auxiliary Bishop of Denver) have penned an eloquent and succinct letter on such matters of conscience (Romans 13:5) and it is in many ways far more eloquent and succinct than I could likely manage myself: https://denvercatholic.org/a-letter-from-the-bishops-of-colorado-on-covid-19-vaccine-mandates/

To review the main points:

Vaccination is not morally obligatory and so must be voluntary.
There is a moral duty to refuse the use of medical products, including certain vaccines, that [sic] are created using human cells lines derived from abortion; however, it is permissible to use such vaccines only under case-specific conditions—if there are no other alternatives available and the intent is to preserve life.
A person’s assessment of whether the benefits of a medical intervention outweigh the undesirable side-effects are to be respected unless they contradict authoritative… moral teachings.
A person is morally required to obey his or her conscience.

If any person comes to an informed judgment that he or she should receive or not receive a vaccine, that person should follow their conscience, and they should not be penalized for doing so. We encourage any individual seeking exemption to consult their employer or school.

Their letter goes on to provide an excellent resource on the explanation of those points and I encourage you to read it regardless as it is an excellent example of the critical analysis of moral obligation.

I agree wholly with their statements. I will not bother to expound or pontificate on the matter of abortion in medical use (though it troubles me deeply that all vaccines for COVID, approved or not, have been tested or developed using one of two lines of cells derived from abortion procedures) as it is not only a "dead horse" matter but also thoroughly explained in the materials provided by the Bishops. On the matter of "alternatives to vaccination," as you will read, I already perform these morally and spiritually obligatory actions and as such am not morally or spiritually obligated to use vaccination as an avenue of action. On the contrary, I am obligated to not be coerced and am obligated to refuse currently available vaccines. To be a voluntary act, there must be a vaccine available against which my spiritual beliefs do not object and no such vaccines are currently available for use in the United States.

1 Thessalonians 5: 21.

"Prove all things; hold fast to that which is good."

This is said in no uncertain terms and without exception. Indeed this meets the above statement whereby “a person’s assessment of whether the benefits of a medical intervention outweigh the undesirable side-effects are to be respected unless they contradict authoritative… moral teachings.” My faith teaches me that my conscience must be informed. The current vaccines have been quickly configured. Many fair and important questions remain unresolved and we are learning as time passes. Every day, new questions are answered, new studies are completed, and new issues are realized and as such this exemption document should be considered a “relative” work-in-progress as even during the writing of this, new information was found (making a succinct exemption request difficult at best). Regardless, the proving of vaccines available for COVID should be considered a long-term work-in-progress which could and should inform my assessment as commanded and cause a reassessment at any time. The number of studies and findings are far too long to list here and there are multiple websites devoted to publishing these studies so I will not attempt to present an exhaustive list of any possible dangers and/or assessments involved but merely highlight a few.

Recently, the FDA had a meeting to determine the safety of booster shots (watch the entire committee meeting here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQevYc2jX7Y) . During this meeting, it was revealed that vaccine recipients had an increased risk of contracting severe COVID after protection waned (https://www.fda.gov/media/152161/download -- page 9). An independent study (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32908214/) confirms this, citing antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE). This violates my beliefs as noted above as it creates nearly guaranteed chance of a serious health potential and danger.

A study published in December of 2020 also confirms this problem (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7645850/) in clear and unambiguous terms. This particular study examined informed consent disclosure implying that vaccines currently available do not make this information known thus violating principles of informed consent and is contrary to my faith and beliefs as noted above as my ability to reach an “informed judgement” is violated.

Vaccines currently available in the United States use the full COVID spike protein. A study published in March 2021 shows that the spike by itself causes damage to vascular and lung organs of the body (https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/CIRCRESAHA.121.318902). While we know that the spike protein in currently available vaccines is a modified form of the protein, we still see harmful side-effects from full spike protein vaccines in line with what we would expect from a (generally) mild yet pervasive infection (see VAERS and ADR Reports). As such, use of currently available vaccines violate my beliefs.

Myocarditis is a known side-effect of vaccines currently available in the United States. The New England Journal of Medicine published a study titled “Myocarditis after Covid-19 mRNA Vaccination” on September 30th, 2021 (https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMc2109975) in which they examine two such cases. It should be noted that myocarditis can result in a life-long disability for which there is no cure or correction as heart damage is permanent and never heals. A vaccine which can cause this violates my beliefs and would be a sin against God.

The connection between currently available vaccines and heart damage is now well established. We see in the following links the evolution of our knowledge of these hastily developed vaccines:

Within the span of three months, we learned that currently available vaccines in the United States have a very real chance of causing permanent heart damage and it seems unconscionable to be vaccinated with what may well cause life-long damage for the sake of a job or career which would not be able to stand in place of my judgement before God. What seemed good at first but was not proven was revealed to be unproven and “not good.” Again, it would be a sin against God to ignore this data and information, to not consider that we do not know enough about these vaccines to “prove” them.

A recent study published on September 30th of this year in the European Journal of Epidemiology (https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10654-021-00808-7) shows that there is no correlation between vaccination rates and the spread of COVID. Another study released August 10th confirms this (https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3897733) and even shows that viral loads among vaccinated were found to be 251 times higher than the original strain. As such, vaccination using currently available vaccines is not shown to stop the spread of COVID and as I am already performing morally obligatory isolation, cleanliness (bathing is itself a holy ritual - https://www.bibleodyssey.org/en/people/related-articles/bathing-in-the-hebrew-bible), and self-monitoring, being vaccinated with currently available vaccines at this time provides no benefit compared to the side-effects and danger potential as noted in my beliefs listed above. To ignore this “proving” knowledge would be a sin against God. Thus, I do not believe that any “benefits of this medical intervention outweigh the undesirable side-effects” at this time, as noted in the above cited letter.

We are to constantly evaluate everything from this perspective through all avenues available to us. We are to weigh those things on a spiritual level, to test them against our commandments, to listen to our conscience. There are, of course, things we are not capable of testing directly due to various constraints such as legal, education, ability, and so on. In those matters, we must rely on information available to us and assess not only the goodness and value of such information but also the source. On this point, the vaccinations currently available to us are still in safety study trials and there is no long-term data at all. This means testing and safety monitoring, even by their own measures, are not complete and we are still gathering data. Conversely, the Novavax vaccine, though not fully approved by the FDA, has completed all traditional trials using known and trustable technology and methodologies with decades of safety data to support its technologies. Indeed, the evidence of this particular vaccine shows that the only side effects are the same as that of a flu shot: fever, chills, headaches, and nausea with absolutely zero severe or moderate breakthrough cases and no asymptomatic breakthrough cases at all. Further, booster shots of Novavax place the recipient in absolutely no danger as shown during tests and while it is not yet available in the United States, it is being used elsewhere in the world and there are no adverse reactions listed in any databases or registries (more information about trials worldwide here: https://mvec.mcri.edu.au/references/novavax-covid-19-vaccine/)

Conversely, the FDA has refused to endorse booster shots of the three vaccines currently available in the United States except in high-risk individuals because of the dangers involved (https://www.fda.gov/media/152161/download). Novavax clearly has a better track record and is closer to the "good" things we are commanded to hold fast to.

To this day, we are still seeing new information regarding these three rushed vaccines. For example: mRNA vaccines can cause severe heart damage or death if administered incorrectly (for example, accidentally hitting a blood vessel) which means that mRNA vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna) can predictably and directly injure or kill the person hoping to be saved (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34406358/). Another example is that according to the Adverse Drug Reaction database for the European Union, there are to date hundreds of reported cases of amnesia related to these three vaccines alone (https://www.adrreports.eu/en/) which seems to indicate that the vaccine is not remaining in the injection site and very likely crossing the blood-brain barrier. A cursory glance this VAERS entry indicates that this particular death due to rapid brain degenerative onset may well be attributable to the vaccination (https://medalerts.org/vaersdb/findfield.php?IDNUMBER=1535217). To take any vaccine currently available in the United States would be a spiritually and morally careless act and is not a “proven good” thing and therefore a sin against God.

These studies and evaluations add to our knowledge and as our knowledge is not yet complete on this new technology and virus, it is therefore not proven. When we are told to "hold fast to that which is good," and to "prove all things," we are not told to "hold fast to the things we don't know much about." We are to prove them, to test them. No exceptions are listed. And while an argument could be made regarding diseases and the importance of certain actions regarding such things, Leviticus 13:45 (P source) has this to say: "And the leper in whom the plague is, his clothes shall be rent, and his head bare, and he shall put a covering upon his upper lip, and shall cry, Unclean, unclean." Meaning "social distancing" and "face masks." Of course we now know that separation of the healthy from the ill (as opposed to just the ill from the healthy) can still prevent transmission when the ill are unaware or unwilling to do so.

Further, the FDA has discovered that currently available vaccinations have been found to increase the chance of COVID infection and increase the chance of severe COVID symptoms (including death) once vaccination-inspired antibody protection begins to wane (https://www.fda.gov/media/152161/download -- page 9), noting that protection drops to 16% and is "statistically insignificant from no protection." The FDA refused to endorse booster shots for anyone except those at high risk due to the dangers of the currently available vaccines (https://www.fda.gov/media/152161/download) making these certainly not proven to be good as we are commanded to ascertain. Should I receive one of the currently available vaccines and require a booster shot, I will have no recourse but to either receive the same type of shot (thus ensuring a dangerous medical potential) or not have a booster (thus ensuring a dangerous medical potential). No such dangers have (as yet) been discovered with Novavax, instead showing a 4.6 times increase in antibody response with no side effects.

James 4:17

“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”

This is an extremely important command. We see that a refusal to “hold fast to things which are good” is a sin against God. I have no other moral or spiritual recourse but to do those things which are good and proven. Should I receive one of the currently available vaccines which do not prevent infection, do not decrease viral load, and do not stop or decrease transmission even among asymptomatic vaccinated individuals compared to unvaccinated individuals (https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.09.28.21264262v1.full and https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10654-021-00808-7) and subsequently transmit that to an at-risk individual whose protection has decreased and they were to contract and develop severe COVID symptoms, I would be directly morally and spiritually responsible for their suffering and their death should death occur and since I now know the risks yet willfully did not avoid such behavior, this would constitute murder before God which is a sin as we are commanded “Thou shalt not kill” and you would be unable to stand in my place for that judgement. Further, knowingly exposing others to this danger would be in direct violation of 1 Peter 4:8 where we are commanded to love one another deeply and above all other things. I have been in a near constant state of quarantine since this started knowing that the possibilities of virus transmission even among the vaccinated with currently available vaccines is a very real possibility and to do otherwise would be sinful and a morally and spiritually bankrupt action wholly incompatible with my faith and beliefs.

Psalm 82: 1-8

God is described as a God of judgement and vengeance, judging among the gods and promising death to those who know not nor understand, those who walk in darkness (not in God's light). To deny God's commandments, to walk without knowledge in darkness is to invoke His vengeance and judgement. We are commanded to inform and educate ourselves and to do otherwise would be a sin for it would be walking in darkness. In the case of this pandemic and areas of it which we cannot understand or do not have sufficient education (for example, immunology), the morally and spiritually correct action according to my conscience developed through faith is to continue quarantining myself and to wait until there is a vaccine with a proven track record available. I cannot in good conscience (Romans 13:5) ignore the proving that I have attempted to subject the currently available vaccines to and to do so would not only be to sin against God but to invoke His wrath, vengeance, and judgement. No one on earth would be able to stand in my place for judgement.

Deuteronomy 5:16 (D source)

"Honour thy father and thy mother, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee."

Exodus 20:12 (J source)

"Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee."

The Decalogue (Ten Commandments) is so important that it is in the Bible twice. These rules and laws are an important component of stable civilization. The Bible is not just a handbook of morals but also a governing document complete with suzerain treaty, taxes, laws. And punishments. Indeed, we see numerous times in Judges the phrase "There was no king in Israel" as a direct reference to God not being with his chosen people due to not following His laws.

As my mother is elderly with more COVID comorbidities than it is worth enumerating here, she is largely unable to care for herself in many meaningful ways. As such, as time and availability allow, I have (fairly) regularly made the trip on long weekends to assist in her care and household duties, some of which can only be completed by me and no one else in the family. To do this, I pre-quarantine for two weeks in a schedule that aligns with the alternating Fridays Off program currently in effect. I am effectively in a state of permanent quarantine because of this. She has had multiple heart attacks, strokes, and other health issues including diabetes and obesity and is unable to be vaccinated due to severe allergic reactions. As previously noted, currently available vaccines do not prevent infection, stop transmission, or decrease viral load. This combined with how currently available vaccines do not prevent asymptomatic infections means I would be unable to fulfill my required obligations to my mother as commanded during the time of vaccination treatments nor any time soon after exposure to anyone who may be infected, symptomatic or not. Further, if I were to contract COVID, particularly in a job setting, and be asymptomatic due to currently available vaccine shortcomings and were to transmit the disease to her, she would most certainly die due to comorbidities and I would be directly responsible before God and myself. For reference, Novavax (which is currently applying for full FDA approval) does not have breakthrough cases or asymptomatic infection rates except with new variants as noted in the following link: https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2021/06/14/1006094476/novavax-says-its-covid-vaccine-is-extremely-effective-efficacy

As easily noted on any of the multitude of statistics available, my survivability rate of COVID is substantially higher than that of my mother and avoiding currently available vaccines in preference of a more proven and good vaccine lowers my chances of unwittingly contracting and transmitting COVID to my mother and family (my sister also has a high comorbidity list including diabetes and lupus, cannot be vaccinated against COVID and neither can my niece). I refuse to be responsible for the deaths of my family members due to vaccinations which do not provide the protection required as currently available vaccines do not stop transmission or infection or reduce viral load and I would have to stand in judgement for that.

Note: It should be noted that Novavax was denied EUA due to an “abundance of EUA vaccines” but is predicted to gain full approval this year or early 2022 and is currently mass-producing vaccines for use outside of the United States yet has no listings in the European Union's Adverse Drug Reaction Report and zero breakthrough cases, a notable achievement.

Note: As a side medical note, I had a strong but not severe reaction to a tetanus vaccination shot a number of years ago and I still randomly experience a deep stabbing pain at the injection site. Given that my mother is also highly allergic to the flu vaccine (and many other common medicines), I am not clear as to my medical status regarding COVID vaccination sensitivity or reactions in any capacity. This would require a doctor consultation and time and possibly tests, potentially more than is allowed under current exemption submission allowances. To do otherwise would, again, be a violation of the principle of required proof of that which is good and a sin against God.

Note: It should also be noted that a flu vaccine reduces the chances of severe COVID by 40%: https://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/314012

Matthew 6:19-20

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth… But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven

Genesis 1: 26

God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness

Treasures in heaven are given based on your deeds willingly done on earth. If there is no choice, it is not a deed willingly done. If it is coerced or compelled under threat with little or no alternatives, it is not willingly done. The presidential mandate specifies a vaccine or testing and although no direction has yet been given to OSHA and no direction has yet come from OSHA (that I yet know of though the COVID and politically related landscapes change extremely rapidly so these statements may be incorrect by the time you receive this request), enforcing a time constraint limits my options and choices. Enforcing that limit of choice with a potential unemployment or leave of absence scenario effectively removes my ability to willingly comply particularly in light of any knowledge gained during assessment as noted previously. Removing these options removes from me the choice and is an affront to the likeness of God in me (Genesis 1:26, Genesis 5:1, and many more) which embodies free will as well as speech (Revelation 1:15), sitting (Revelation 5:7), breathing (Genesis 2:7), an appreciation of wine (Judges 9:13), sight (Genesis 18: 3), bathing (Genesis 18:4), and eating (Genesis 18:8). This is to facilitate a closer relationship with God and to have a mutual understanding of each other more than a “nebulous cloud of light” or similar might allow. Our innate sense of what is right and our freedom to act upon it are two more attributes and they impose a duty on me to act in accord with conscience (Romans 13:5). To force someone to do otherwise violates the autonomy we are given in regards to our bodies by God and to willingly comply with this limitation is to sin against God.

Further, the vaccines currently available in the United States today all use the full spike protein which does not represent a choice at all especially if there is force or coercion involved. Accordingly, we see exactly the same side effects and dangers in each vaccine currently available (as can be seen in VAERS and ADR Reports). When a different base technology for vaccine is available, then the choice exists. Novavax uses a subunit protein sequence (and not the entire spike protein sequence). If I am given the choice of whether or not to be vaccinated and a choice of vaccine technologies, then choice is provided and God's likeness in me is preserved.

Further, Merck has developed Molnupiravir, a prescribed series of pills which prevents replication of the virus. When Molnupiravir is released, this also presents a choice which confirms the free will which God has endowed us. It is an astonishing treatment which prevents nearly half of severe infections (https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2021/10/01/new-antiviral-drug-molnupiravir-prevented-half-severe-covid-19-infections-study-found/5938807001/). Particularly in combination with options such as a flu shot reducing the chance of severe COVID by 40%, this makes COVID vaccinations nearly unnecessary as there is finally an effective treatment on the rare chance that a severe case of COVID manifests.

Further still, a self-imposed quarantine such I have done since this started is the most merciful and free-willed choice available and requires strength of will and character developed through faith and the trials I have overcome in life. I have only left my residence these last two years to assist family members, deal with medical issues, and complete errands which could not be otherwise performed by others. As we read in Leviticus 13:45, maintaining this separateness preserves holiness (as Leviticus and similar texts are “p-source” or “priestly” texts) and as we see in Numbers, God wants us to remain holy and maintain the likeness He has instilled in us. Even Christ Himself described exceptions to rules presented by God by healing on the Sabbath which applies when we are on call for support to our customers in the event of a serious software issue which could jeopardize the lives of officers or others. This is fulfilled in 1 Peter 4:8 every time I go on an on-call rotation and is something I do with joy.

In Numbers 11: 18-33, God kills those whom He commanded to eat meat. He did this because God wanted His followers to maintain His likeness and remain separate, holy, from the peoples around them. It is entirely in line with Psalm 82 where he promises vengeance and death to those who walk in darkness. By removing my choice and leaving me no alternatives, I am effectively being stripped of God's likeness. This is part of the whole goal of Satan, to remove from us God's likeness. If the choice were restored and more than a single vector or technology or kind of prevention were available, vaccination would not present any threat to this likeness. This would restore willing deeds for treasures in heaven.

I cannot at this time willingly and in good conscience in accordance with my faith and beliefs take or consume any COVID-19 vaccination currently available in the United States. Perhaps when Novavax is release, this position may change.

I do not have to show that any particular religion positively forbids me to take any particular COVID-19 vaccine; my personal religious belief forbids me.

I believe this is a typo. Am I wrong, or should I warn people to proofread and not copy paste?

There are typos but that was not a typo. The rest of the text, particularly in regards to the likeness of God (near the end) supports the statement that the three vaccines available are the same thing and the limiting of freedom of choice is anathema to the likeness of God (in this case, freedom of will) we are granted. This one is one of those tricky situations because you can't just say "Well, I'm not going to get vaccinated because free will" because that's a harder stance to defend. I'm not saying you can't but you open the door for a legal response that says "We have these legal precedents that say you will get vaccinated" and passages in Romans compel you to submit to legal authority until it contradicts scriptural passages. Your task, as commanded in these Biblical contexts is to show that what currently exists is contrary to your faith while showing that you are submitting to legal authority. That is a very tricky thing to do.

Indeed, if you read further, the rest of the text supports the idea that you have a commandment to educate yourself and learn about these things and constantly evaluate those things. By saying that you will not get vaccinated at all, you create a contradictory statement that goes against I Thessalonians 5:21 to "prove all things; hold fast to that which is good." If we can show that there is at least one vaccination which is inarguably good, we can prove that what is available is not. Hence the texts that make it sound like I'm shilling for Novavax even though what I'm really doing is providing evidence that in comparison, the currently available vaccines violate commandments. And that's all that matters since the OSHA mandate refers only to vaccines available.

The take on this is subtle but important.
