Amen. It's good when you're calm to think through that none of your property is worth losing your life over chasing after. Just think each thing through and imagine if you die trying to save it, and the alternate scenario where you let it go, and which you want to choose.

Also be sure you aren't carrying unnecessary things with you when out. A wallet/purse often has lots of crap it doesn't need.
