This is an example of why you should buy those solid plastic mock guns and get some friends to practice taking guns from people. In that moment, you need muscle memory to overcome any fear of the situation. If you e never practiced this you may not be as successful.

Worth keeping in mind though: This only worked because the nog was pointing the gun at the cashier and ignoring the other guy. If it had been pointed at him grabbing the gun wouldn've been a bad move.
